Luis is a bilingual (Spanish) School Psychologist. He attended University of the Pacific for his undergraduate studies, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minors in Child Development and Spanish. During his college years, he worked with children with autism to improve their behavioral functioning.

He studied abroad in Madrid, Spain while attending college. Upon graduating from college, he returned to Los Angeles where he began working at a middle school as an office assistant, translator/interpreter, credit recovery teacher, and later substitute teacher in the Kindergarten through 12th grade levels. He attended Cal State University, Long Beach (CSULB) for his graduate studies in School Psychology. During his graduate studies he worked in the Pre-K and middle school level applying Response to Intervention (RtI) principles in the areas of academics and social-emotional/behavioral skills, in addition to gaining experience with psycho-educational assessment and counseling. Since receiving his Master’s degree from CSULB, Luis has been working as a district school psychologist in addition to becoming a Licensed Educational Psychologist. His passion continues to be helping children, families, parents, and school staff in best assisting students in their education.
